“We really loved the cottage, Glendalough. It is on the main road (Cromer Rd) in Sheringham. Just across the road from the North Norfolk preserved railway. You can hear all the trains whistles and steam from cottage. The lounge faces onto the main rd, but traffic noise isn't a problem. Also, most of the cottage is round the back away from the road. Very good size rooms, plenty of space, and the settee's and beds were very comfy. Kitchen is well appointed, everything you could need. Central heating was perfect. Very nice garden /courtyard looked after by the owner, who is also really lovely and introduced herself should we have any problems. It could take one person who is less mobile, as there is a downstairs single bedroom. There are also two separate toilets, one as you enter the property and one in the bathroom. Both downstairs. Plenty of cupboards for clothes and a very big larder for food near the dining room. There is a washing line out the back of the property, on the wall, and plenty of pegs!! (I do like to hang my washing out to dry if possible). There are two markets every week, just across from the house, bigger market on a Saturday. Plenty of lovely food outlets in Sheringham itself, very accessible. Wonderful place to visit and probably to live. Enjoy!!”
