This converted Victorian stables, dating back to 1889 are tucked away down a quiet lane which runs alongside the River Bure. The Lodge has been renovated to a very high standard, creating an impressive contemporary house with plenty of quirky features and with two ground floor bedrooms - it is perfectly setup for all the family, making this the perfect holiday home.
Ground floor: 1 step leading to Front Door into entrance hall with doors leading into:
Sitting Room: with picture windows, double-sided multi-fuel stove, comfortable corner sofa and TV with Freeview, flowing into the dining room and kitchen area. Kitchen/Dining Room: boasting quartz countertops, electric oven and gas hob. Integrated fridge and dishwasher. Breakfast bar and dining area with attractive vaulted ceiling and French doors leading to the garden. Ground floor Bedroom: 3ft Bunk beds (suitable for children) with door leading into ensuite shower room with WC and wash basin, with door leading into utility room with freezer and washer/dryer with back door leading to garden. Ground floor Bedroom: Double bed with ensuite wet room with heated towel rail, WC and washbasin. Rear lobby: with door to rear courtyard and door to WC and washbasin.
Stair case leading to: first floor landing with doors leading to: Double bedroom: with double bed and wardrobe storage on landing. Twin bedroom: (beds can be made into King size bed – please advise upon booking if required), this is a quirky room with sloping ceilings and restricted head height in part, 6’6” headroom at the centre, built in storage with feature dormer window. Family bathroom: with bath and shower attachment. WC and washbasin.
Outside: The Lodge is approached from Skinners Lane by a gravelled driveway which leads, via a double timber gate to a parking and turning area. The garden is mature with hedging, summerhouse and outdoor furniture. Skinners Lane runs parallel with the River Bure, upstream form Wroxham bridge and Caen Meadow. Wroxham, approximately 1 mile from The Lodge, is the “Broads capital” with an excellent range of amenities including a supermarket, shops, pubs, cafes and vets. There is a train station, bus stops and a wide variety of boatyards and mooring facilities.
Amenities: Bed linen and towels provided. Pets permitted: maximum 2 medium dogs at £20.00 per dog, per week. Location: beach 15.9 miles, local shop 0.4 miles, Wroxham centre 1 mile. The very popular BeWILDerwood is 3 miles and Wroxham Barns is 2.9 miles.
