“Comfortable and well equipped we enjoyed our stay at the Plaice. We'll definitely consider returning in the future. ”

“Lovely location, beautiful views, great cottage as you are right on the seafront. Lots to do locally too. Would highly recommend - we will be going back for a fourth time next year!!! ”

“The Plaice is really conveniently located to the Cliifs Road Car Park, halfway down the stairs to the beach; very convenient. The apartment itself has probably the best and closest view of the beach there is, and slept us all comfortably in really good beds. The facilities were excellent; kitchen, bathroom and shower room, living space, games table all good. Two minor niggles; the towels were on the small side, and the TV is definitely too small; I had to set the wi-fi up on it when we first arrived. We will return! Many thanks
“We love this holiday apartment for its amazing location. It's a treat to be able to view the sunrise from 2 bedroom windows and sunset from the living room and terrace. It's well equipped (although the tv isn't great) with all you could need. 2 minute walk into the sea, a short stroll to shops, pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path. ”

“The Plaice is Fantastic! Incredible views and proximity to town is superb. Access to car parking is easy and housekeeper was super helpful and friendly. ”

“Fabulous . Great views and location. Only thing I could find was larger bath towels would be good. ”

Patricia T

“All I wanted was to be able to see and hear the sea. There were lots of places to get take away food at excellent value and great taste ect. Only problem being disabled hell of a job to get in or out of property.”

Bronwyn M

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Plaice, very comfortable beds, brilliant location, wonderful sea views, extremely well equipped, would love to return.”

“You really can't fault the location. Amazing panoramic views of the sea and it is just a few steps down to the beach. The proximity to the town centre and convenient parking is a massive bonus. Shops, restaurants and other facilities are just a couple of minutes walk away. The accomodation is simple yet has everything you need. Bedrooms are compact, but big enough. The main appeal however is the large lounge/dining area which is where you'll want to spend most of your time. The games table (pool, air hockey, table tennis) was appreciated by our children! The kitchen is small but we'll equipped. Our only issue was the cleanliness. The bath and shower rooms would've benefitted from a good scrub. Something that's easy to solve and I'm sure that this will be addressed in future. That aside, we had a lovely time and I would recommend it to others. The owner was also very helpful and responsive to my questions”

“Wow what a beautiful flat. Great location for my 88 yr old dad 3 min walk to the pub. Loved the pool table which helped when we had a power cut. called Sam the housekeeper and she got straight onto it. The owner then called to tell me it was a problem in the area but told them i had a vulnerable person so will be fixed within the hour. Which actually only took 30 mins. Such a lovely caring Owner and Housekeeper. Parked the car in the carpark for the week and walked down some steps into the flat. All stone floor and no steps my dad had the onsuite room, he loved the views and was safe to stay whilst my hubby and I went to get papers and shopping which is only 6 mins walk away. Not suitable for wheelchair users unless you can manage your stairs. But a must if you can. Lovely friendly town, would return again.
Beds all comfy and even thought of your privacy as on side windows a one way film was applied, so you can see out but you cannot see in from outside. Brilliant. ”

Diane S

“We wanted time away where we could relax and watch the world go by and this property certainly gave us that. Could very easily take morning coffee/ afternoon tea down to the beach and sit on the rocks watching the sea. We did not eat out much as the view from the dining table was better than anywhere else.
Easy access to shops and takeaways. The cafe below was only open a few times, and did not disturb us, but summer when windows are open it could be different. Had not appreciated in advance just how much noise the waves on the stones at high tide would make, especially when trying to go to sleep. ”

Janet G

“A wonderful "Plaice" with an incomparable view, all the facilities you need and very comfortable beds. I'll keep this property on my list and hope to re-visit one day.”
